Our Team
Your care will be led by a Consultant Foot & Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon who will work alongside our experienced team. Together they will manage your presonalised treatment and care plan.
Physio
Physiotherapists play a fundamental role in the recovery and prevention of ankle sprains. Our team of physiotherapists are highly experienced in sports injuries and have worked with professional sports clubs. They will provide rehabilitation plans after the injury to get you back to the sports or activities you pursue. If surgery is needed, they will also look after you during the post-operative period to facilitate recovery. Physhiotherapists will use different treatment strategies to ensure a comfortable return to each patient’s activities.
Podiatry
Professionals specialised in foot biomechanics, which is the correct alignment and load distribution throughout the foot. With techniques such as 3D foot scanner or running style assessment they help tweaking small gait abnormalities or recommending the most appropriate type of running shoes and custom-made insoles.
Radiologist
Doctors specialising in all types of imaging modalities, including x-rays, MRI scans or ultrasounds. They can use the ultrasound as a guide to inject particular areas of the foot and ankle.
Massage Therapist
Often working in conjunction with physiotherapy, a massage therapist specialises in the restoration of muscle and joint function. Through a series of techniques, they will help to loosen up tight muscles, improve blood circulation and repair damaged tissues. It is a great method for rehabilitation from sports injuries
Sports Medicine
Specialists in Sports Medicine can offer a range of non-surgical treatments to patients suffering with symptoms following common or more complex sports injuries. Instead of specialising in a specific joint like Orthopaedic specialists, Sports doctors will assess the patient as a whole and can address any general body imbalances. They have access to Ultrasound examination and an array of injection therapies that can be very helpful in recovering from ankle sprains.
Sports Medicine
Hip, Knee or Spinal Specialists
Orthopaedic specialists that can provide either non-surgical or surgical treatments. Ankle sprains can unveil an additional issue higher up in the leg or core. If during your assessment, another joint besides the ankle appears affected, we will work alongside the right specialist who can advise on the best course of treatment.
